Mathilde de la Chapelle

Mathilde de la Chapelle , née Mathilde Wagner (born October 2, 1863 in Berlin ; † September 5, 1946 ) was a German theater actress and writer .

Life

Chapelle had been on the stage for many years before she came to the Leipzig City Theater in 1883. She then worked at the Princely Theater in Gera, from 1887 to 1891 in Magdeburg, from 1892 to 1893 in Halle, 1894 to 1895 in Freiburg, 1896 in Zittau, 1897 in Stettin, 1898 in Essen and joined the Association of City Theater in Strasbourg in 1900. There she worked until at least 1902.

Her life after that is largely unknown, but in 1915 a book Lilli´s Sommerfrische was published. A chapelle battered story. She later apparently emigrated to the USA.
