The Matkah Point is a headland on the west coast of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It marks the entrance to Holluschickie Bay to the north .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on September 4, 1957 based on the naming of Holluschickie Bay. Matkah is the mother's name in Rudyard Kipling's story The White Seal from his 1894 book The Jungle Book .
