The Holluschickie Bay is a bay on the west coast of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It is located between Matkah Point and Kotick Point on the Prinz Gustav Canal .
It was probably discovered in 1903 during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) carried out a survey in 1945. It was named in 1952 after FIDS scientists discovered a large number of young seals in the entrance to the bay. Holluschickie is the name given to young seals in Rudyard Kipling's story The White Seal in his work The Jungle Book from 1894.
