Matus "Matt" Skolnik (born November 9, 1981 ) is a Slovak skeleton pilot .

Matt Skolnik lives in Calgary and has been involved in skeleton sports since 2003. He has been part of the Slovak national team since 2004. Skolnik contested his first races, including the Canadian Championships, in which he was 28th, in 2003. He contested his first international races in 2004 as part of the Skeleton America's Cup in Park City and finished 20th . and 18. Until 2006 further assignments in America's Europe and Challenge Cup followed . The first highlight of his career was his participation in the 2007 Skeleton World Championship in St. Moritz , where the Slovak was 29th. In January he contested his first Skeleton Intercontinental Cup race in Calgary and finished 16th, in November he finished ninth in the same place, his first top ten result in the America's Cup. In Lake Placid he took part in the Skeleton World Championship in 2009 and finished in 29th place. He ended his career in 2010, but has been racing in the America's Cup again since 2011 .
