Matteo Giampaolo Vitaioli (born October 27, 1989 in Fiorentino ) is a San Marino football player .

Career

society

Vitaioli was born in Fiorentino and played mostly for San Marino Calcio . In 2006 he was loaned to FC Empoli , then in Serie A , but did not play a league game there. Often considered one of the most promising talents in San Marino, he was never able to live up to these demands.

National team

For the national team, he scored his first free kick goal in a European Championship qualifier against Lithuania on September 8, 2015 . It was the first away goal in 14 years in a competitive game for San Marino.
