Matterhorn Project is an in 1980 founded Swiss electronics project, consisting of the music producer Stella and PJ Wassermann , previously already with the electric project circuit Wasserman became known.
Career
With the Matterhorn Project, the couple mainly combined sounds from Swiss folk music with animal sounds and electronic music. The first single Muh! came out in 1985. It was able to advance to number 2 in the Swiss charts and also made it into the charts in South Africa and Japan. In the same year Yo-Lollo-Diuh followed , which reached number 8 in Switzerland, and a self-titled album was released in parallel. With the following singles Love in Space (1986), Trigger U and Sex (both 1988), they changed direction and could no longer build on their earlier successes. Her dance album Tek * Novelty was released in the 1990s with the singles Chilbi-Time and I'd Love To Be Your Tampax Now . Stella and PJ produced the Alti Bäbeli Tekno for the Basel Carnival clique Alti Bäbeli . In 2001 their first album was re-released with songs that were later released as bonus tracks under the name of Muh! ... and more .
