Matthew Ulicky

Matthäus Ulicky († September 11, 1627 ) worked as a deacon in the Bohemian town of Tschaslau .

Ulicky was in the church service in Bohemia, where he worked as a deacon in Chaslau. The turning point in his life marked the presentation of the Lord's Supper under both forms, i.e. h., that lay in the chalice participated. Like his Reformation proclamation, this led to an attempt to arrest him. He evaded to Hungary, Austria and Moravia. Finally he returned to Bohemia to take care of his community. Ulicky was arrested on the way home from a hospital visit. During his execution on September 11, 1627, his right hand, with which he had handed the lay chalice, was cut off before he was beheaded.
