Matthewstown
The Entrance Grave of Matthewstown ( Irish Baile Mhaithiais ) is located in the townland of the same name on an elevated ridge about five kilometers west of Tramore in County Waterford in Ireland .
It is known locally as Leaba Thomáis Mhic Chaba , Irish for "Thomas McCabe's bed". The so-called "Simple Passage Tomb" is one of a group of only five Entrance Graves in Waterford that have a great affinity with the megalithic complexes on the Isles of Scilly off the coast of Cornwall .
The east-facing system is 3.5 m long and 1.6 m wide. It is covered by three capstones, each resting on five lateral, approximately 1.2 m high supporting stones. It has four preserved curbs, which suggest that the monument was once covered by a pile of stones .
The megalithic complexes of Harristown , Gaulstown and Knockeen are nearby .
