Matthias Eck

Matthias Eck (born November 26, 1982 ) is a former German American football player.

career

Eck first played American football in Lübeck . After his time with the Lübeck Cougars , he moved to the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes in 2005 , where he was promoted to team captain. After becoming German runner-up with the Kiel team in 2008 and 2009, Eck won the German championship title with the team from Schleswig-Holstein's state capital in the 2010 season under the direction of head coach Patrick Esume . In 2011, the corner used in defense ( cornerback ) and as a kicker was in his last year in Kiel again in the final of the German championship, but lost there.

In 2007, the 1.82-meter-long corner took part in the World Cup with the German national team and came third, and in 2010 it was European champion with the German selection. He finished the 2011 World Cup with Germany in fifth place.

Eck worked professionally as a teacher .
