Matthias R. Lemke (born June 20, 1958 in Viersen ) is a German doctor, psychiatrist and psychotherapist, professor of psychiatry and psychotherapy at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , medical director and managing director of the Heinrich Sengelmann clinics for psychiatry, psychotherapy, Psychosomatics ( Heinrich Sengelmann Hospital , Heinrich Sengelmann Day Clinics Reinbek, Ahrensburg, Bargteheide and Hamburg-Uhlenhorst) and head of the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Psychosomatics of the Evangelical Foundation Alsterdorf , Hamburg.

Life

Matthias Lemke completed his studies in medicine at the Rheinisch Westfälisch Technische Hochschule in Aachen with stays at the University of the West Indies in Bridgetown, Barbados, and the Ago Medical Center, Legaspi City, Philippines.

The training in neurology took place as a Postoctoral Fellow in the Department of Neurology, University of California Medical Center, University of California San Francisco (UCSF) (Chairman: Alan I. Further training to become a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy took place at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Free University of Berlin (Director: Hanfried Helmchen ); Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic, New York Hospital, Cornell University, New York (Chairman: Jack Barchas, psychiatrist); Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (Director: Wolfgang Gaebel). From 1993 to 1995 he was the head physician in the department of acute psychiatry and addiction medicine, center for psychiatry and psychotherapy at the Ingolstadt Clinic (Director: Wolfgang Hartmann). From 1995 to 2002 he was Senior Consultant in Charge and Deputy Director of the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Kiel University (Director: Josef Aldenhoff). From 2002 to 2007 he was medical director and member of the board of the Rheinische Kliniken Bonn, from where he accepted the appointment to the current position in Hamburg at the end of 2007.

Matthias Lemke lives in Hamburg and has three children.
