Matuku (also: Matugu ) is a small island in the west of the Ha'apai archipelago in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga . Matuku has about 100 residents.
geography
The Motu is located in the area of Lulunga near Kotu and in a common reef with Teaupa , Hafaiva (Haʻafeva), Fetoa and Kolo (Ogoroo).
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Ha'apai group, Matuku is occasionally hit by cyclones .
