Tsuyoshi Tanikawa ( Japanese 谷川 烈 , Tanikawa Tsuyoshi ; born April 25, 1980 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Tanikawa learned to play football in the youth team of Shimizu S-Pulse . He signed his first contract with Shimizu S-Pulse in 199. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1999 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club. In 2001 he was loaned to the second division Ventforet Kofu . For the club he completed 20 games. In 2002 he returned to Shimizu S-Pulse. He then played with the New Hampshire Phantoms (2003), Mito HollyHock (2004) and FC Machida Zelvia (2005-2007). At the end of 2007 he ended his career as a football player.
