Matura schools for adults
As Matura schools for adults (ME) or adult high schools state or are public schools Switzerland called that for secondary school graduation on the night school run.

The Matura schools for adults mostly fulfill a cantonal or inter-cantonal mandate to train talented adults at a grammar school who can gain unrestricted university access by completing the Matura. A maturity school for adults therefore serves general education. The schools supported by the stalls therefore charge little or no school fees for taxable residents. High school students on the second educational path are therefore offered a Matura with almost the same financial conditions as high school students on the first educational path.
Recognition and equivalence
All maturity schools for adults currently run by the cantons have the right to the in-house Matura, i.e. they take the Matura exams themselves. Your high school diplomas are recognized in accordance with the federal ordinance on the recognition of high school diplomas and are therefore fully equivalent to the conventional high school diploma. Aside from state schools, few private schools have the same privileges.
Training types
The grammar school Matura can be acquired in different ways at the maturity schools for adults. A school usually offers so-called part-time teaching, i.e. H. The lessons take place during individual days and evenings throughout the week and alongside in self-study. This type of training is aimed primarily at working people.
