The nuragic settlement of Matzanni is located 12 kilometers from Vallermosa on the slopes of the 730 meter high Mannu Cuccurdoni in the province of Sud Sardegna in south-west Sardinia . It is the only nuragic village with a nuraghe , three holy wells and 12 round hut foundations from the Bronze and Early Iron Ages (around 1300 to 730 BC).

Two kilometers away is the rectangular Punic temple "Genna Cantoni", also called Tempio di Matzani, built from white limestone but severely disturbed . The site was also frequented by the Romans, whose presence is attested by some archaeological finds.

One of the holy wells ( Italian Pozzo sacro ) is better preserved and made of slate . The underground space had a domed vault that collapsed. The entrance (offset to the dome axis by a landslide) has a triangular shape and is made of worked stones. The room is surrounded by a walled courtyard. Despite the poor state of preservation, this temple, along with Su Tempiesu, is one of the most famous on the island. Bronzes and baityloi were found in the well.

The sacred wells of Matzanni have been known since the 1980s.
