The wall quadrant ( Latin Quadrans Muralis ) is a constellation of the northern sky that was introduced by the French astronomer Jérôme Lalande - probably in honor of Tycho Brahe , who perfected the astronomical measuring device of the same name .

The Wall Quadrant is a small group of stars between the official constellations Hercules , Dragon and Bear Keeper . The main star is the star CL Draconis , which has a magnitude of 4.95 mag .

It is described in the star atlas Uranographia by Johann Elert Bode and other modern atlases, but is not one of the 88 constellations recognized by the International Astronomical Union (IAU). It is probably the best known of the no longer recognized constellations, as the radian of the strong meteor shower of the Quadrantids lies in this area.
