Maurice Fiennes
Sir Maurice Alberic Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes (born March 1, 1907 in London , † September 14, 1994 ) was a British industrialist.
He received his education at the private Repton School in Repton and at Armstrong College in Newcastle upon Tyne .
Fiennes was an entrepreneur in the steel industry. In 1945 he became Managing Director at Davy and United Engineering. He also got this position in 1960 at Davy-Ashmore , a producer of quality steel. He was most recently Chairman of the Board of Davy-Ashmore in Sheffield from 1961 to 1969 .
In recognition of his services, he was ennobled as a Knight Bachelor at the suggestion of Harold Wilson .
He was the father of photographer Mark Fiennes and the grandfather of actors Ralph and Joseph Fiennes .
