Maurice Karl

Maurice Karl (born February 21, 1978 as Philipp Karl in Berlin ; † July 31, 2000 in Cologne ) was a German actor .

Maurice Karl wanted to be an actor since he was 6 years old. After various modeling jobs and appearances at Mister Wahlen, he got the role of Sebastian Sandmann in Unter uns , which he played until 1998. At that time he was living with his parents in Leverkusen . He has been able to play the piano and sing since he was 13. These skills were also used in the form of a single on which the titles Run to Me and Forever and a Day were released.

On July 29th, 2000, Karl fell from the railing of Cologne Cathedral and suffered a severe fracture of the base of the skull . He died two days later as a result of the fall. It is believed that it was suicide.
