Mauroa is a municipality in the state of Falcón , Venezuela . The administrative headquarters are in Mene de Mauroa . The district has three parroquias : Mene de Mauroa, San Félix and Casigua . Agriculture is the main engine of the region.

The Mauroa district borders with the Gulf of Venezuela to the north, the state of Zulia to the south and west and the Buchivacoa district to the east .
