ISO 3166-2: VE

The list of ISO-3166-2 codes for Venezuela includes the codes for the 23 states, the dependent territory, and the federal district.

The codes consist of two parts separated by a hyphen. The first part gives the country code according to ISO 3166-1 (for Venezuela VE), the second the code for the state.

The current country code was last updated in the fifth newsletter on September 5, 2003 ( PDF ).

The current codes are available on the ISO website under #iso: code: 3166: VE .

The codes have been updated twice, in the fourth newsletter (ISO 3166-2: 2002-12-10) to add Vargas , and in the fifth newsletter (ISO 3166-2: 2003-09-05) to add the former Amazon and Delta status Change Amacuros from federal territories to states.
