The mausoleum of Abbas I ( Persian آرامگاه شاه عباس بزرگ Aramgah-e Shah Abbas-e bosorg , IPA : [ ɑɾɑmgɑh ɛ ʃɑh æbbɑs ɛ bozorg ]) is the burial place of the Persian Safavid King Abbas I. The mausoleum is located in the Iranian city of Kashan . The inscription on the mihrab dates the original construction to the 12th century. This was expanded in the Safavid era. The building was destroyed due to a fatwa and replaced with a new one.
In the southwest portico there is a black rectangular stone, the origin of which is localized in the Caucasus .
