Max Barth (politician)

Max Albert Barth (born July 5, 1844 in Untergreislau; † June 5, 1893 ) was a German administrative officer, manor owner and member of parliament.

Life

Max Albert Barth studied at the University of Jena and the Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Berlin jurisprudence . In 1863 he became a member of the Corps Franconia Jena . In 1864 he joined the Corps Neoborussia Berlin . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. From 1877 to 1890 he was district administrator for the Naumburg district . Subsequently, until his death he was general director of the Provincial Fire Society of the Province of Saxony , based in Merseburg . He was the owner of the manor Untergreislau.

Barth was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1882 to 1893 . From 1886 to 1889 he was a member of the municipal commission. From 1887 to 1893 he was secretary. He was also a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Saxony.

His much younger brothers were also Jenenser Franks: Richard Barth (1855–1885) was a government assessor in Gumbinnen. Arthur Barth (1858–1927) was a surgeon in Danzig.
