Max Juen (born December 8, 1929 in Kappl ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From 1981 to 1984 he was a member of the Austrian Federal Council .

education and profession

Juen attended elementary school in Kappl between 1937 and 1945 and then continued his education between 1947 and 1948 at the agricultural state college in Imst . From 1949 to 1951 he graduated from the Higher Federal College for Alpine Agriculture in Seefeld and between 1952 and 1972 worked as an agricultural consultant at the District Chamber of Agriculture in Landeck . From 1973 to 1990 he was secretary of the Landeck Regional Chamber of Agriculture.

Politics and functions

Juen worked between 1952 and 1974 as the district manager of the young farmers 'union and then from 1974 to 1990 he was the district manager of the Tyrolean farmers' association in the Landeck district. He was also a member of the district board of the ÖVP Landeck and a member of the board of the Tiroler Kulturwerk. In the Catholic Church he was active from 1960 to 1968 as dean chairman of the Zams Catholic men's movement and from 1990 to 1996 as dean chairman of the Zams Catholic family association. He represented the Austrian People's Party between March 25, 1981 and July 9, 1984 in the Federal Council.
