Max Sannemann
Max Sannemann (born April 15, 1867 in Seehausen , Altmark , † February 1, 1924 in Ballenstedt ) was a German composer and music teacher.
Sannemann attended school in Calbe and Magdeburg and was a composition student of Christian Friedrich Ehrlich at the grammar school of the monastery Our Dear Women . He later continued his training with Hermann Finzhagen . He worked as a music teacher and critic and, after 1891, taught for two years at Hermann Fischer's music institute . In 1894 he founded the Magdeburg Conservatory of Music , for which he won, among others, Fritz Kauffmann , Theophil Forchhammer and Sigfrid Karg-Elert as teachers. Since the early 1920s he lived as a piano teacher in Ballenstedt. He composed piano works and chamber music, vocal works and ballet music.
