Max Schieritz

Max Schieritz (born May 30, 1905 in Bant , Wilhelmshaven ; † October 27, 1996 ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After finishing elementary school, Max Schieritz completed a manual training as a machine fitter . He joined the Socialist Workers' Youth and was chairman of the Emden group from 1925 until it was banned. He joined the metal workers 'association in 1922, where he was active on the board until 1933. He also supported the founding of the metal workers' youth and the youth cartel and was their chairman until they were banned in 1933.

After the end of National Socialism , he took over the chairmanship of the Emden SPD in 1945, he became a council member, mayor and senator in the city of Emden and became chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.

From April 20, 1947 to April 30, 1951 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (1st electoral period).
