Little Sisters of Our Lady

The Little Sisters of Our Lady are an association of believers in the Roman Catholic Church within the meaning of the Codex Iuris Canonici (can. 298 ff.), A Consociatio privata ("private association").

The members live in the footsteps of the Sisters of Notre Dame , led by St. Julie Billiart (1751-1816) was founded. In 2000, the association moved into its own house (Haus Maria Frieden) for prayer and silence in the southern Black Forest in Oberalpfen near Waldshut .

Goal and life

The members have determined their work “to praise his holiness” ( Ephesians 1:12 EU ). Every day begins and ends with the Liturgy of the Hours . They see their work as helping people. In their way of life they want to imitate Our Lady and ask for her protection with the rosary . The women live according to the evangelical counsels .
