Maxim Jurjewitsch Sokolow ( Russian Максим Юрьевич Соколов ; born November 29, 1968 in Leningrad ) is a Russian politician of the United Russia party .

Life

Sokolow studied economics at the St. Petersburg State University . As the successor to Igor Evgenyevich Levitin , he was Minister of Transport in the government of the Russian Federation in the cabinet of Dmitri Anatolyevich Medvedev from May 2012 to 2018 . Sokolow is married and has three children.
