Yevgeny Ivanovich Ditrich ( Russian Евгений Иванович Дитрих ; born September 8, 1973 in Mytishchi , Moscow Oblast , Soviet Union ) is a Russian politician . He has been Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation since 2018 .

Life

Ditrich graduated from the Moscow State Engineering-Physical Institute (today the National Nuclear Research University "MIFI") as an applied mathematician . In 1999 he graduated from Moscow High School of Privatization and Entrepreneurship as a lawyer. From 1999 to 2000 he attended professional training courses at the Russian State Academy of Labor and Employment of the Ministry of Labor and at the State University of Soil Management. In 1999 he studied at Oxford Brookes University . In 2002 he qualified as company director at the Moscow Institute for Stock Market and Stock Management.

From 1995 Ditrich worked in the State Committee of the Russian Federation for Asset Management as a consultant, head of division, deputy head of division and division manager. From 2004 to 2005 he was Deputy Director of Property, Land and Natural Area Management at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. From 2005 to 2012 he was Deputy Head of the Federal Roads Agency. From 2012 to 2015 he worked in the government apparatus as Director of Industry and Infrastructure. He then headed the Federal Traffic Inspectorate (Rostransnadzor) from July 20 to October 12, 2015. From October 14, 2015 to May 18, 2018, he was Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation. On May 18, 2018, Medvedev was appointed Minister of Transport in the cabinet .

Ditrich is married and has three children. He is an Active State Advisor to the Russian Federation, 1st class.
