Ministry of Transport

The Ministry of Transport or Ministry of Transport is a ministry responsible for transport policy , i.e. above all transport and the development of the transport routes of a state or member state. The corresponding Head of the Minister for Transport or the Secretary of Transportation .

  1. Originally the Ministry was called Ministeriet for Offentlige Arbejder (Ministry for Public Works) from 1894 to 1986 and then Trafikministeriet (Ministry of Transport). After a ministerial riot in 2005 it was called Transport og Energiministeriet for two years. After the energy department was discontinued, the name was shortened to Transportministeriet.
