Maxim Wiktorowitsch Pestuschko ( Russian Максим Викторович Пестушко ; born February 9, 1985 in Brezhnev , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Ak Bars Kazan in the Continental Hockey League since January 2019 and for Bars Kazan in Vysschaya Hockey -Liga plays.
Career
Maxim Pestuschko began his career as a hockey player in the youth of Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk , for whom he played in the third-rate Pervaya League between 2002 and 2004 . During the 2003/04 season he made his debut in the professional team of his club in the super league . In the following four seasons Pestuschko established himself within his team, but was mainly entrusted with defensive tasks. In the summer of 2008 he left his home club and got a contract with HK Dynamo Moscow from the newly founded Continental Hockey League , for which he was active for one season. After three games of the 2009/10 season Pestushko left Dynamo and returned to Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk.
In May 2013, Pestuschko was given to HK Dynamo Moscow in exchange for Denis Tolpeko .
From August 2017 he played for HK Ugra Khanty-Mansiysk and completed 53 KHL games for them. In 2018 Ugra left the KHL and Pestuschko was initially looking for a new club. In November he received a trial contract with Dynamo Moscow, which was not extended. At the end of November 2018, he was signed on trial by Severstal Tscherepowez , but left the club after four games.
