Maximilian Bittner

Maximilian Bittner (born April 12, 1869 in Lobositz , † April 7, 1918 in Mödling ) was an Austrian orientalist .

Life

He studied at the University of Vienna ( Dr. phil. 1892) and completed his habilitation in Vienna in 1896 (1904 associate professor , 1906 full professor of oriental languages), but taught temporarily at the Consular Academy . He had been a corresponding member of the OeAW since 1912 and a real member since 1914 .
