Antonina Nikolaevna Popova

Antonina Nikolajewna Popowa ( Russian Антонина Николаевна Попова , English transcription Antonina Popova, née Solotuchina - Золотухина - Zolotukhina; born April 25, 1935 in Taganrog ) is a former Russian discus thrower who started for the Soviet Union .

At the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm in 1958 , she was eighth. In 1961 she won silver at the Universiade , and in 1962 she was fourth at the EM in Belgrade .

After their marriage, she finished fifth at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City and the 1969 European Championship in Athens.

She set her personal best of 59.80 m on July 16, 1968 in Moscow .
