Maximilian Gerhardt
Johann Maximilian "Max" Gerhardt (born February 3, 1861 in Posen , † after 1920) was a German politician .
Life
Max Gerhardt from Thorn was a PhD Dr. phil. and from 1906 member of the Berlin Society for Anthropology, Ethnology and Prehistory .
He was introduced on August 19, 1891 in the city council meeting in Poznan as an elected salaried city councilor. He became second mayor in Schöneberg in 1898 , before he was elected first mayor in Halberstadt in 1905 with 19 to 16 votes for twelve years until July 7, 1917. On November 13, 1905, Gerhardt was appointed a member of the Prussian mansion for life . In 1917 he was elected mayor for a further twelve years, but resigned from his office in 1920, whereupon the City Councilor Paul Weber (SPD) elected his successor.
Around 1910 he had a residence in Berlin at Wilhelmstrasse 43. In the magazine for ethnology , the address of Schöneberg Prinz Georgstrasse 4 was documented in several years of the 1900s and 1910s , and at times also Hansastrasse 10 in Dresden-Nord .
