Maximilian Kirschner
Maximilian Kirschner ( November 5, 1861 in Chemnitz - February 16, 1913 in Neu-Zittau ) was a German theater actor .
Life
Kirschner began his theater career in 1878 with a traveling company. Then he came to Chemnitz, Rostock, Olmütz, Basel, Liegnitz (where he worked for four years). Kirschner then appeared in Görlitz, Kiel, Krefeld and most recently in Danzig, where he said goodbye after seven years of activity, after being used there as before in drama and comedy such as farce and operetta ("Pastor" in the court actor , " Mr. Senator ”,“ Mason foreman Gluck ”at the Craftsmen Festival etc.), after a guest performance at the royal court theater in Berlin in June 1899 (in The Fifth Wheel and On the Sunny Side ) to join the association of this art institute for roles with comical characters.
Although he also found the opportunity to demonstrate his skills there as “Voss” in the Kompagnon , “College Kramtpon” etc., he left this court stage in 1901 due to insufficient employment and accepted an invitation from the Schiller Theater.
His manner of portrayal was free of what is customarily referred to as virtuosity of acting. He was characterized by very expressive facial expressions and speech, supported by an extremely characteristic comedy. He was a natural actor.
