Maximiliano Pellegrino (born January 26, 1980 in Leones ) is an Argentine football player who has been playing for CA Colón since summer 2011 . He is the younger brother of Mauricio Pellegrino , who was also active as a football player.

Career

He learned to play football in the youth of CA Vélez Sársfield . In 1999 he was accepted into the professional team of Vélez Sársfield and played ten games in the Argentine championship in his first season . In the 2000/01 season he made 16 league games and scored his first two goals as a professional. In 2004 he reached second place in the Apertura with Sársfield. A year later he won his first title with the club, the Argentine Clausura. In the 2005/06 season he played 29 league games, the most so far in his career.

After the Apertura 2006 and the Clausura 2007 with the seventh and eighth place were only moderately successful, he moved to Italy in the summer of 2007 in the Serie A and signed with Atalanta Bergamo . In his first season in Bergamo he came on 26 appearances in the league and scored one goal for the Lombards. The season was finished in 9th place.
