Maximilien Brébion

Maximilien Brébion (* 1716 ; † 1792 ), called Brébion the Elder, was a French architect and brother of Anne-François Brébion (called Brébion the Younger).

In 1740 he received the great architecture award from Rome. In 1756 he was responsible for the Tuileries, the Louvre and other buildings in Paris.

Most important employee of Jacques-Germain Soufflot in the construction of the Panthéon in Paris. With the death of Soufflot he took over the work together with Jean-Baptiste Rondelet and completed the building in 1790.
