Maxwell Award

The Maxwell Award is a sports award given annually in the United States since 1937 to the best player in college football . The award-winning player is selected by a committee made up of sports commentators and journalists, head coaches of teams from the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and members of the King of Prussia , Pennsylvania- based Maxwell Football Club , whose mission is to promote the sport of football and the safety of the player is.

In addition to the Heisman Trophy , also given to the best player , which is generally regarded as more prestigious and arouses more media interest, the Maxwell Award is regarded as " The Other Award ". Johnny Lattner (1952, 1953) and Tim Tebow (2007, 2008) are the only players to date to have won the award twice.
