The Maya Beach Water Park in Wuhan ( Chinese 武漢 瑪雅 海灘 水 公園 / 武汉 玛雅 海滩 水 公园 ) also called Playa Maya, is a water amusement park in Wuhan in the People's Republic of China . It is part of the Parks China company of the OCT Group . It is adjacent to the Happy Valley Theme Park in Wuhan.
The 16 hectare outdoor pool is open from mid-June to mid-September and offers 12,000 visitors the opportunity to do physical activities in and around the water.
It is one of the largest outdoor swimming pools in the People's Republic of China.
Attractions
The park has 18 attractive installations, including the largest double- wave beach in the world.
Bath water treatment
The 15,000 cubic meters of water from the pool out every two to three hours a swimming pool water treatment . The target pH value is between 7.2 and 7.8. Human sweat has a pH value of 7.4.
HOHA Water Electrical Musical Festival
From July 11, 2020 to August 30, 2020, the outdoor pool was the venue for the HOHA Water Electrical Musical Festival 2020 . Featured artists include Akini Jing (朱 婧 汐), GAI (周延), Tizzy T and Panta.Q.
Wuhan's Maya Beach Water Park made international headlines in August 2020. An electronic music festival (HOHA Water Electrical Musical Festival) took place there in the midst of the global Covid-19 crisis. Twenty thousand people had participated without masks or social distancing measures, and they did so in the very city where the epidemic broke out in late 2019. The festival could take place because no new local cases of Covid-19 has not been registered in Hubei province since mid-May 2020. At a press conference on August 20, 2020, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Zhao Lijian declared the opening of the swimming pool to be the Chinese government's strategic victory over COVID-19 .

Tickets can be purchased with or separately from Happy Valley Tickets.
Day tickets are valid from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and evening tickets from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
