The Mbuun sword is an African sword . It is used by the Mbuun and Pende in the southwestern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

description

The Mbuun sword has a straight, broad, double-edged blade . The blade is the same width from the handle to the location ; then it widens in a diamond shape . The handle is made of wood and is often anthropomorphic shaped and with brass shod . The sheath is made of leather with characteristic leather strips dangling at the end.
