The McKenzie-Scharte is a mountain pass in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Bowers Mountains , it is northwest of the McLin Glacier .
Scientists from the German expedition GANOVEX I (1979–1980) named it. It is obviously named after the neighboring McKenzie Nunatak . Its namesake is the American glaciologist Garry Donald McKenzie (* 1941), who worked in this area between 1966 and 1967.
