The medal "For the Victory over Japan" ( Russian Медаль "За победу над Японией" ) was a Soviet award given in the course of the Second Sino-Japanese War and the surrender of Japanese troops in China on September 3, 1945 in a stage of Josef Stalin was donated.

Appearance and wearing style

The gold-colored medal shows on its obverse the right-looking head portrait of Stalin in uniform on a grained background and the inscription За победу над Японией (For the victory over Japan). The reverse shows the three-line inscription 3 / Сентября / 1945 (September 3, 1945), which stands for the surrender of the Japanese armed forces on Chinese soil. Above it is a Soviet star .

The medal was worn on the upper left side of the chest of the borrower on an elongated pentagonal fabric-covered clasp in the color combination red-white-red-white-red, the hem being yellow. The associated interim brace is of the same quality.
