Reunification Medal

The reunification medal was donated by the federal government on June 12, 1815 and awarded to the members of four federal regiments who were in the service of the French king and who refused to fight for Napoléon Bonaparte , who had returned from exile in Elba .

The round medal made of silver shows the federal coat of arms with the inscription SCHWEIZERISCHE EIDGENOSSENSCHAFT MDCCCXV . On the back, surrounded by an oak wreath, the three-line inscription TREUE UND EHRE .

The award was worn on a white ribbon with wide red stripes on the left side of the chest.
