Medar Shtylla

Medar Shtylla (born February 28, 1907 in Korça , † December 20, 1963 in Tirana ) was an Albanian politician of the Party of Labor of Albania (PPSh).

Life

He was a member of the 118-person Anti-Fascist Council for National Liberation , which was elected as a transitional parliament by the Përmet Congress in May 1944 and helped the Communists to come to power. In 1945 he became a member of the Constituent Assembly ( Asamblea Kushtetuese ). On March 15, 1945 he became Minister of Economics in the government of Prime Minister Enver Hoxha .

In 1950 he was elected for the first time as a member of the People's Assembly ( Kuvendi Popullor ) and was a member of this as a representative for the Durrës district from the second to the end of the fifth electoral term in 1966.

On July 24, 1953, Prime Minister Enver Hoxha appointed him Minister for Public Health in his cabinet. He exercised this function under his successor Mehmet Shehu until June 24, 1956.

Shtylla was finally President of the People's Assembly from June 1958 until his death on December 20, 1963 .
