history

Dieter Büchl and Andreas Gebauer founded Media-Concept Bürobedarf GmbH in 2002 in a garage in Oberhaching . At that time, they were among the first to sell ink and toner on the Internet. Their online sales were initially limited to Germany. Their first online shop www.tinte24.de was launched in 2003. Just one year later, the business area had to be expanded to 400 m², and in 2006 the company moved to Hohenbrunn with 600 m² of office space and a warehouse of 2,100 m².

In 2008 Media-Concept began to expand into other European countries. The first countries with their own online shops were Austria , France and Italy , followed in 2010 by Spain , Poland and the Netherlands .

In March 2011, the founders carried out a management buy-out : Andreas Gebauer remained managing director , while Dieter Büchl handed over his position as co-managing director to Sebastian Köhler. In this constellation, expansion in Europe was intensified, so that in 2012 higher storage capacities were required again. Another 2,500 m² of storage space was added.

In 2014 Ulrich Seidel, the third of today's three managing directors, added to the management team. One year later, the entire administration moved to Unterhaching, today's headquarters of the company, and occupied 1,500 m² of office space there. In the same year, the company's turnover broke the 100 million euro mark for the first time.

With the sustained growth, the further expansion of storage capacities became necessary in 2016. The new storage space is located in Augsburg and currently comprises 5,500 m² including office buildings (as of September 2016).
