MediaTek Inc. ( MTK ) is a Taiwanese factory-less manufacturer of mostly ARM architecture- based microcontrollers and the like. a. for optical drives , smartphones , tablets , televisions , set-top boxes , GPS receivers, WLAN routers and Bluetooth devices.

Founded in 1997, the company was ranked 24th among the world's largest semiconductor manufacturers in 2008 with sales of $ 2.896 billion. In 2009, the company rose to number 15 on the list after increasing sales by 20%.

MediaTek chips are found in 64% of all televisions (as of 2015).

The Amazon Fire TV Stick, which the manufacturer has been producing millions of times in different versions since 2016, is well known.
