Mediomatrician

The Mediomatricians ( ancient Greek : Μεδιομάτρικες, Latin : Mediomatrici ) were a Celtic tribe in what is now eastern France, Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate. Today's Metz emerged from its capital, Divodorum Mediomatricorum .

Neighboring them lived the Treveri , the Leuker and the Eburonen in the core area of ​​the La Tène culture . Besides Metz emerged from settlements and Oppida the Mediomatrici z.
