Lægehåndbogen contains technical information primarily for general practitioners as well for other health professions. Patient handbook is aimed at patients and the general public. The Danish reference books are based on the Norwegian medical encyclopedia Norsk Elektronisk Legehåndbok NEL ("Norwegian Electronic Doctors Handbook"), which is available as a paid subscription. NEL is sold in Sweden in an adapted version under the name Medibas . A German-language edition under the name Deximed ("German Expert Information Medicine") in cooperation with the German Society for A General Medicine and Family Medicine ( DEGAM ) was published on March 3, 2016.
