The Charité Medical Library is the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin's central service facility for the procurement and provision of literature and information. Her focus is human medicine . It includes the central library on the Virchow-Klinikum campus in the Wedding district , a branch library on the Charité Mitte campus , the dental branch library in Wilmersdorf and the Medical Humanities library at the Institute for the History of Medicine and Ethics in Medicine in Dahlem .

As a modern information facility, the library system offers access to over 300,000 volumes of printed literature, around 70,000 e-books, over 55,000 electronic journals and numerous databases and takes on a central role in the supply of medical information in Berlin and Brandenburg and beyond. It supports researchers, students and teachers, health care and administration in the efficient and independent use and dissemination of information and is involved in the field of Open Access .
