Siegfried Lorek

Siegfried Lorek (* 3. June 1977 in Freiburg ) is a German politician of the CDU and since 2016 deputy in the parliament of Baden-Wuerttemberg .

Life

After completing secondary school in 1993, Lorek completed training as a police officer in the intermediate non-technical police enforcement service. He then worked as a patrol and post officer in Freiburg. After obtaining the technical college entrance qualification in 1998, he began studying at the University of Applied Sciences for Police Baden-Württemberg in Villingen-Schwenningen , which he completed in 2002 with the examination as a qualified police officer (FH) . In addition to his studies and police work, from 1995 to 2005 he was co-owner of two IT specialist shops in Freiburg and Lörrach .

From 1998 to 2007 Lorek worked in various positions at the Baden-Württemberg Police , including as a lecturer at the Baden-Württemberg Police Academy , as head of the management and operations team at the Villingen-Schwenningen Police Department and as a clerk and operations manager at Criminal police. In 2007 he started studying public administration - police management at the German Police University in Münster , where he obtained the academic degree of a Master of Arts (MA) in 2009 . From 2009 to 2013 he worked as a consultant in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior . Since 2014 Lorek has been head of the Control Centers / Telecommunication Department in the Technical, Logistics and Service Bureau of the Baden-Württemberg Police.

Lorek has been involved with the CDU since the 2000s. In the 2016 state elections , he ran as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 15 (Waiblingen) . He received 26.2% of the first votes and he was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg via a second mandate . In parliament he is a member of the Committee on Home Affairs, Digitization and Migration, the Committee on Culture, Youth and Sport and the Committee on Petitions.

Siegfried Lorek is married and lives with his wife and son in Winnenden .
