Medical strengthening therapy

The medical strengthening therapy is a method of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine , which tries by strengthening the muscles pain to remove.

After a detailed examination before the first unit, the patient only trains for about 2-3 minutes on a special training machine, just like with strength training. This differs from the usual machines in fitness studios , as the body is fixed much more firmly here, and a computer is integrated that stores the force used and the training time and can thus make the training success visible. Depending on the progress, 12-16 training units are necessary.

Unlike strength training in the gym, each individual workout is monitored by a therapist. If necessary, he can intervene if the burden is too great. In Germany, medical strengthening therapy is not part of the catalog of services provided by statutory health insurers , but is usually only reimbursed by private health insurers.
