Marine research: Reports on marine research was a scientific journal which was published under this name from 1976/1977 (No. 25) to 1990/1991 (No. 33) by the German Scientific Commission for Marine Research based in Hamburg and Berlin and by Paul Parey Verlag in Hamburg was published. In 1991 the publication of the magazine was stopped. Their reference numbers were: ISSN  0341-6836 , OCLC : 4048873.

The first 24 issues, from issue No. 1 (1919/23 (1925)) to issue No. 24 (1975/1976), appeared under the name of Reports of the German Scientific Commission for Marine Research , until 1964/1965 in Stuttgart .

Since 1994/1995 (No. 42) the journal Archive of fishery and marine research published by the German Commission for Marine Research of the Federal Research Center for Fisheries (Stuttgart + Jena + New York) and / or the Federal Research Center for Fisheries (Hamburg) has been running (printed: ISSN  0944-1921 ) continues the tradition of the magazine as well as two others. This periodical is again in 2005 in the publishing of Blackwell published journal Journal of Applied Ichthyology risen.
